Jeffries plans to play Sunday

The New York Knicks' front court is about to gain some much needed depth as Jared Jeffries plans to return for the Knicks' next game at home versus the first place Chicago Bulls. This is great news for the Knicks who have been forced to play a smaller line-up with Carmelo Anthony. Jeffries didn't specify on how much time he might see or whether or not he might start (he has started four other games this season). But even a few minutes will be valuable for the Knicks. Jeffries best skills are on the defensive side of the ball and has unique defensive range. During Jeffries' first stint with the team, he would regularly be used to defend the opposing team's best player whether they were a guard, forward or center. He is effective underneath the basket especially at drawing charges. His offensive game is weak but he has improved his perimeter shot which makes him valuable for stretching the defenses. This will be helpful as the Knicks take on a very talented Chicago Bulls team (that will be without Derrick Rose).

His selfless nature will also be valuable to Woodson who talked about getting more players involved in the offense before last night's game.
